TERMS & CONDITIONS

By proceeding with a reservation at La Bergère you accept and agree with the company (Anniviers Ski and Trail Sárl) that the reservation, if accepted by us, shall be on the terms and conditions as follows:

1. CONTRACT

Your contract is with Anniviers Ski & Trail Sárl, (hereafter AST).

2. PRICES & DEPOSIT

  • Prices quoted are in Swiss francs.

  • In the event that a booking is completed based on a rate that has been incorrectly posted, AST reserves the right to correct the rate or cancel the reservation at its discretion, and will contact you directly in order to do so.

  • A deposit of 30% of the total balance, is required if you book more than 8 weeks prior to departure. A booking exists once a confirmation/invoice is dispatched, detailing what you have booked. Please check it carefully, as items not on your confirmation will not be supplied. Once confirmation is dispatched, your contract is made with AST and the deposit is not refundable.

  • Deposits may be claimable on your insurance, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance company (AST bears no responsibility for this).

3. FINAL PAYMENT

Final payment is due 8 weeks prior to the departure date. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday, retain the deposit and recoup any additional charges.

4. COMPLAINTS

Complaints must be made to your hosts as soon as possible and in any case within 24 hours so that we may have the opportunity to rectify the situation. If the problem cannot be rectified, you must submit your complaint in writing within 28 days of your return. It is unlikely that you will have a complaint that cannot be settled amicably between us.

5. ALTERATIONS

In the unlikely event that we need to make any substantial changes to, or cancel your holiday, a full refund or exchange will be offered. However we do reserve the right to make these changes if appropriate. If you accept a refund we will be under no further liability outside the holiday costs.

6. CANCELLATION

If you wish to cancel your holiday, the lead name on the booking must tell us in writing immediately by post or email. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. If you cancel, you will be liable to pay the cancellation charges set out below.

  • More than 56 days prior to arrival  – 30% of holiday cost

  • 56-28 days prior to arrival – 50% of holiday cost

  • Less than 28 days prior to arrival – 100% of holiday cost (no refund)

7. LIABILITY

We do not accept responsibility if you suffer injury, illness or death, unless it is due to the negligence of our employees, acting in the course of their employment, and the incident is reported to us in resort. No claims will be accepted after the end of the holiday. We also do not accept any responsibility for injury, illness or death caused by your own actions or omissions, or by any unforeseeable or unavoidable event.

In the event that you suffer injury or illness whilst on holiday, unconnected with arrangements made by us, we will offer help, guidance and any assistance that we can, provided that you tell us about your illness or injury whilst you are in resort. You should ensure you are fully insured by your travel insurance for all aspects of your trip. This should include both the travel elements, and any possible mountain rescue service you may require. You should ensure this cover is adequate for the type of activity that you plan to do, which could include unguided backcountry skiing. You must make a claim under your insurance policy’s legal section, and must show us proof that your insurance company has received your claim, should we ask for it.

Information about the Val d'Anniviers on our website is accurate to the best of our knowledge. We will not be held responsible for any changes to such services, as they are out of our control. You are responsible at all times for all your personal belongings, documents and equipment (including hired). Due to the nature of chalet holidays, we cannot always guarantee that bedroom doors will be lockable.

8. GENERAL INFORMATION

It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not do an activity that is beyond your capability, either with or without a guide.

No refunds are given for unused portions of the holiday such as empty accommodation or uneaten meals.

All dietary requirements need to be indicated at the time of booking. All meals are cooked from scratch in the chalet and we shop only once a week. If we have not had prior notice it may not be possible to cater for dietary requirements for the first few days of the holiday.

AST reserves the right to terminate, without compensation, your holiday if it is deemed that your behaviour is unsociable, abusive or in any way unacceptable, to ourselves or any other guest.

9. ACCOMMODATION

We will endeavour to have your room ready by 4pm on the day of your arrival. Your room must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. We will however provide space for the storage of baggage, should you either arrive before 4pm, or wish to leave after 10am.

You must be at least 18 years of age to check-in and register for a room.

A valid government-issued identification or passport is required at check-in.

10. EQUIPMENT RENTAL/AIRPORT TRANSFERS

AST does not provide equipment rental or an airport transfer service. Any prices and descriptions of these services relate to third party providers. These providers are independently owned and operated from AST and if you choose to use their services, you enter into a contract with the relevant third party provider and are bound by their terms and conditions. AST cannot be held responsible for the services provided by these third party providers.
